POWELL GENERAL ELECTRIC

The containment and management of Angels led to the discovery of a unique byproduct—Enkephalin, a potent energy source refined from the biological and metaphysical essence of Angels. A remarkably small quantity of Enkephalin can generate enough energy to power entire cities.

Powell General Electric, a well-established electric utility company, has been tasked with integrating Enkephalin into the energy infrastructure. In addition, they have agreed to manage a branch for the EPC, expanding their operations into the production of Enkephalin.

WILLIAM POWELL

The esteemed manager of Powell General Electric. Works directly under the founders of PGE and the EPC.

C

The super computer overseeing all operations at Powell General Electric. He monitors daily Enkephalin output and evaluates work quality.

EPC

The Electric Power Consortium, an organization of power companies headed by the mysterious L-Corp.

DEPARTMENTS

As an agent, you will be assigned to one of these departments at Powell General Electric. As you build your skills and gain familiarity with the company, opportunities to transfer between departments will become available.

CONTROL DEPARTMENT Oversees employees and Angels, monitoring CCTV feeds to plan the best course of action. They issue immediate orders to employees as needed.

TRAINING DEPARTMENT Responsible for creating and enforcing company policies and management procedures. They also conduct training programs to help employees smoothly transition into their new departments.

SAFETY DEPARTMENT Provides safety training for new employees and develops emergency action plans for various potential scenarios within the company. They handle situations like escaping Angels, panicking employees, and security breaches while establishing clear safety guidelines.

INFORMATION DEPARTMENT Studies and profiles Angels, devising solutions for any issues they may cause. They are responsible for collecting, analyzing, and archiving observation data and interview logs provided by the Welfare Department.

CENTRAL COMMAND Serves as the structural and strategic bridge between PGE's Upper and Lower Layers. The Upper Central Team provides foundational support for facility expansion, while the Lower Central Team supervises departments and focuses on improving management efficiency.

WORK

Producing Enkephalin requires working with Angels, each of which responds positively to a specific type of work.

INSTINCT

Instinct Work addresses physiological needs and involves frequent physical contact with the Angel. Agents must demonstrate exceptional bravery and Fortitude to handle high-level Instinct Work effectively.

INSIGHT

Insight Work focuses on improving the Angel's living conditions by identifying and adjusting to their preferred environment. This requires careful observation and a high level of intellect and Prudence for successful execution at higher levels.

ATTACHMENT

Attachment Work addresses the Angel's social needs, acknowledging their desires and will. It involves acting as a companion or playmate, requiring careful, limited interaction. To avoid overstepping boundaries, Agents must demonstrate exceptional caution and Temperance for high-level Attachment Work.

REPRESSION

Repression Work focuses on restraining desires, unlike other tasks that manage them. It involves regulating emotions and desires, requiring careful, objective decision-making and strong rationality to control the work's pace. Agents must exhibit a high level of Justice—the ability to make firm, fair judgments—to perform high-level Repression Work.

EMPLOYEES

🔓 AGENTS

Playable

Agents are selected for their aptitude for working directly with Angels. They are trained to handle specialized equipment and possess licenses for high-clearance weapons, serving as the primary line of defense against Angel breaches.

🔒 CLERKS/INTERNS

Locked

Support staff help maintain the facility but are restricted from entering containment units for their safety. Although equipped with standard handguns, their capacity to deal with an Angel is limited.

🔒 SECURITY

Locked

A contracted security team that uses traditional brute force methods to subdue Angels. They will eliminate all threats, including company agents if necessary. Facilities housing high-threat Angels must adhere to strict suppression protocols to ensure safety to local inhabitants.

ANGELS

Supernatural entities that defy physical laws and are not classified as traditionally living beings. Though rare, their appearances often result in large-scale destruction, capable of leveling cities and altering landscapes.

Researchers developed protocols to analyze their behaviors, revealing that while some Angels are inherently catastrophic, others remain dormant under specific conditions. Despite advances in containment and management, complete eradication remains impossible.

As a result, humanity has shifted its approach from outright extermination to controlled coexistence.

RISK LEVELS

ZAYIN

Characterized by their minimal aggression, these entities pose little threat to agents, inflicting negligible damage.

While Angels in this category do not breach, they should not be underestimated.

TETH

While they do not pose an immediate or unavoidable threat, improper management can lead to serious consequences. Without proper defenses, employees risk fatal injuries or psychological breakdowns, potentially leading to panic.

HE

Widespread disruptions, psychological distress, containment breaches, or facility-wide malfunctions are always at risk when dealing with Angels of this risk-level.

WAW

A severe threat to both employees and the facility. Highly aggressive and unpredictable. These Angels pose a threat even in containment.

ALEPH

The most dangerous entities known, requiring the utmost caution and vigilance. They are capable of wiping out entire departments if not properly contained. Even a single breach can lead to catastrophic consequences, making suppression efforts incredibly difficult and resource-intensive. Failure to control an ALEPH can mean the total collapse of a facility.

ORDEALS

The Ordeals refer to the challenges beyond those posed by the Angels themselves. Powell General Electric and the EPC face opposition from various factions—critics concerned with the ethics of their work, those who fear the dangers it presents to local inhabitants, and entities seeking to steal corporate secrets. While some Ordeals may cause Angels to breach, they primarily manifest as direct threats to agents, management, and even the facility’s operating systems.
